My name is Kayleigh, a mum of 2 beautiful girls, and I have been a qualified midwife working within the NHS for the last 9 years.
Experiencing pregnancy and birth myself in the last 3 years has given me a new perspective and has helped me see just how important antenatal education is.

I have a huge passion for all aspects of midwifery and would love the opportunity to be able to share my passion and knowledge with parents to be in Bourne and the surrounding area.

I aim to provide evidence based, accurate and current information in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

My 1 month course can be offered as both group sessions or privately dependant upon individual needs.

Group session price £100 per couple
Private session price £180 per couple

Course Breakdown

Session 1 Birth Preparation

This session will explore;
- common pregnancy ailments and cures
- The role of hormones within pregnancy and birth
- Birthplace options and creating a perfect birth environment
-What to pack in your hospital bag
-Perineal massage

Session 2 Labour & Birth

This session will explore;
-Biology of labour
-Positions for labour and birth
-Types of birth
-All pain relief options

Session 3 Post delivery, Baby Care & Parenting

This session will explore;
-Post birth recovery and what to expect
-Baby care such as bathing, winding, dressing for season
-Transitioning to parenthood

Session 4 Feeding

This session will explore;
-Breastfeeding
-Bottle feeding
-Combination feeding
-Tongue tie
-Colostrum harvesting in pregnancy

Midwife Q&A, Birth partner 101, Group social

Also within each session there is opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pregnancy, labour or postnatal period.

I will also include a birth partner get together to share tips, techniques and coping strategies to help ease any anxieties.

Lastly I will offer the opportunity for different groups to have a social gathering/reunion dependant on preferences of the groups.
